Competition “Construction Project of the year” is organised by the Polish Association of Construction Engineers and Technicians (PZITB) every year with participation of the Ministry of Infrastructure and the General Office of Building Control. The purpose of the competition is appointing building objects, at realization of which distinguishable results were reached. Announcement of results of XIX edition and ceremonial giving awards for winners were on 25 June this year at Technician House (Dom Technika NOT) in Warsaw. in Dom Technika NOT in Warsaw.
In this year’s edition of the competition constructions were awarded and distinguished in nine categories (residential construction, office buildings, industrial constructions, public utility buildings, schools, sports facilities, revaluations roads and railroads). Objects entered for a contest were characterized by a very high level of structural and functional solutions. Criteria of three-degree evaluations concerned also the modernity, the cost-effectiveness, the quality of the workmanship, the safety, the working conditions, the organization of the construction process and the lead time.
