Astrum Business Park was awarded certificate BREEAM FINAL at the level

Astrum Business Park is a modern class A office complex with an area of over 20,000 sqm., located in one of the larger and more esteemed business zones of Warsaw. „Our assumption was that during the entire investment special attention focuses on the principles of sustainable construction. Owing to that the object Astrum Business Park meets the high standards of the green building and is one of the most modern office buildings environmental friendly as well as it is friendly to its users. Thanks to implemented innovative and eco-friendly solutions both in the design stage and in the realization – Astrum Business Park has obtained the BREEAM certificate at the level “Very good”, says Krzysztof Marczak, President of Irydion Sp. z o. o. – the investor of the object. BREEAM is a building quality assessment system appreciated by investors both in Europe and worldwide. The BREEAM certificate is awarded by BRE (Building Research Establishment) Global based on materials and reports confirming the compliance of the investment with the requirements set. The investment is subjected to a five-point rating in 10 environmental categories: management, health and well-being, energy, transport, water, materials, waste, ecology and land use, pollution and innovation. Points are added and then converted to final score, that corresponds to a specific level of the certificate. It is currently the most popular system of certification of objects, which is applied in Europe.

FINAL BREEAM certificate awarded Astrum Business Park, it is the result of long-time conduct in accordance with the certification procedure BREEAM Europe Commercial 2009, covering Design Stage ended with the report and it also includes Post-Construction Stage ended with the report.
In June 2015, Astrum Business Park received the BREEAM INTERIM certification at the level “Very good” in relation to the Design Stage rating. The culmination of the process is to obtain the BREEAM FINAL certificate in relation to the Post-Construction Stage for the completed part of the complex, also with the “Very Good”. During the certification process we cooperated with consultants from Sweco Consulting. Sp. z o. o.

The investor of Astrum Business Park is IRYDION Sp. z o. o. Its shareholders are LFI 1 Fundusz Inwestycyjny Zamknięty Aktywów Niepublicznych and PROCHEM S.A. – which designed and has realized the object in the formula of GRI. The Astrum project is a pioneering project because of the application of the modern idea of an integrated investment process based on the BIM concept. The implementing of the project was appreciated in 2016 with the prestigious second prize “Building of the Year 2015” awarded by PZITB in 2016.
