During this year’s 20th jubilee conference organized by the Chamber of Construction Designing (IPB) and Polish Chamber of Civil Engineers, were announced the results of industry competitions arranged by IPB in 2017. The winner in the review “Design of the Year” was PROCHEM S.A.<\/p>\n

By the decision of the Qualification Commission, PROCHEM S.A. was honored in the review of the most important projects of 2017, thus awarded the “Design of the Year 2017”<\/strong> award for preparing the design documentation of The Thermal Waste Treatment Plant in Krakow. The statuette and diploma was received by Grzegorz Koby\u0142ecki, Director of PROCHEM Projekt Division. At the award ceremony, the Jury expressed their appreciation and congratulations for maintaining the basic architectural idea of the objects and bringing it to life in the shape of the original conceptual framework.<\/p>\n

PROCHEM S.A. developed design documentation of the Plant on the basis of the concept of urban and architectual design emerged from the competition in 2010 whose authors are architects: Bogus\u0142aw Wowrzeczka (Maufaktura nr 1), Micha\u0142 Teller (Teller Architekci), Filip \u0141api\u0144ski (\u0141api\u0144ski Architekci). Jakub Baczy\u0144ski<\/strong> from PROCHEM was the main designer of the entire investment.<\/p>\n

At the same time we would like to remind that the architects from PROCHEM received in May 2016 award in the most important architectural event in Poland – in the competition Award of the Year of the Association of Polish Architects. Incineration plant in Krakow is among the most significant architectural objects built in our country.<\/p>\n

Also worthy of mention is distinction being the nomination of ZTPO in last year to the competition Mies van der Rohe Award 2017 – appreciating the best architectural buildings in Europe. Nomination itself of incineration plant in Krakow is a special distinction, usually during rewarding and distinction in this kind of competitions industrial buildings are omitted.<\/p>\n
